      Great article. It does mention salt leading to color loss over time by acting on the pigment cells

      It has been documented that constant exposure to salt will dull-out the colour in koi by acting on the pigment cells called chromatophores

      found in the dermis.

      Yep. See my above post. I'm not really sure how you can prove that is acting on the pigment cells though
