      Finally got an autofeeder

Got the koi cafe from genki koi. Can feed 14 times a day. I'll start to feed at 7 am until 3 PM and 6 servings for now. Water is getting cooler I'll just cut down the duration as needed.

I have a 65/40 profidrum and also a 3.5 turnover rate and a shower setup. I can hold 30 koi and be fine. I'm also doing a 120% water change a week.

I float the bag in the pond for new fish to acclimate. Then unbag them and send to a bowl for pics.. after pics I sock net them and send back into pond.

I just increase my trickle flow in and observe my koi. I don't encourage others to do this but it is what i do. With the khv scare I'm kinda trusting my dealer. I will start a qt tank next week at my brothers house. He will heat and grow out fish this winter and pay the power bill lol.

If I'm worried though or something is wrong then I'll scrape and scope. I have proform and fluke m on hand at all times and also elbagin for bacterial problems. I can treat new fish before they enter the pond but keeping my water perfect has worked for me and I havent done treatments in over a year on my fish knock on wood.

Just a 1,000 gallon intex for now and 13 koi. You can anytime. I have a 8,000 gallon pond in progress but need to redo my fence first.

Nice fish Kevin. Just a note about photography. Notice how clear the nose is in the 2nd pic. To get rid of all that glare, you can hold a large piece of poster board in your left hand while taking the picture and position it so that it blocks the glare from above. Hold it at different heights and positions until you see what you want.

Good tip. I was in a hurry since I wanted to get it in the pond asap. I will do that next time though for sure. Thanks

I forgot to mention that black will work better than white because it will absorb light rather than reflect it.

Really like the auto feeder. Once I get home I will hand feed them. Trying to bulk them before winter.

How often do most of you feed? I'm feeding about every 1:30 and spread one feeding to 2 hours. I might change it to feed every 1:15 though as long as my filtration keeps up
