      My beloved flawed Doitsu Ochiba

The first koi I put in my pond ! Not the first one I bought, the other ones are of greater quality, but not yet here. but I want a memento from my first koi show. Being a disabled I couldn't look into the tank with all the tosais, it was too high, so I explained what I wanted and got to choose between two or three in a little bucket.

Conditions were not great, so I missed the big black stain.

Still it was just 20 bucks and the stain doesn't bother me to much. I absolutely love Doitsu Ochibas.

I didn't want her to be alone, I asked the vendor to put a chagoi with, but didn't choose. It's a ginrin with a lot of flaws. Nothing interesting, she doesn't even eat as much !

Well they did eat everything before THAT day actually^^.

I wondered if it wasn't too much, though, but it's still under what I'm supposed to give given their size. I would have a hard time talking about quantities with y'all though, I'm French, metric system :p

I should check my math though, could have screwed up.

Get an autofeeder and feed less each feeding but more times throughout the day. It let's the biofilters keep up better and also helps the fish to digest the food better which also results in less waste.

I have one, but not enough fish to use it. It can't give small enough amounts. The daily dosage is divided in three meal, for now.

Bio should keep up though, it's extremely oversized compared to my pond !^^

You can tape off a portion of the autofeeder so it dispenses less per feeding. Just don't overfeed per each feeding. My fish eat it all within 5 minutes each feeding
