I am always honored when I am chosen to provide filtration systems for my customers, but Anh has been very good to work with, he agreed to everything I suggested and had faith in my vision even when I only provided this side view of his Custom Zakki Shower...

I can see the finished product clearly in that drawing but he just replied back, "Awesome!"

I was initially concerned with the small width measurement that we had to work with (only 13") but I got creative with my distribution manifold design and was able to evenly distribute the water from both sides of the manifold and pack 2 Cu Ft of the Rio Shower Media into this filter. The nice thing about making it only 13" wide is that the weight will be distributed nicely to the back wall flange that is 1/2" thick and with evenly spaced bolts this thing will mount nicely on the back of the concrete wall.

I should be finishing this up completely tomorrow and hopefully ship it out to him then. I will get more finished photos later but here are some preliminary shots that give you an idea how she will be mounted to the wall.

      Here are the finished photos....

I only played out one side of the Rio Media because you get the point and I didn't want to waste the time unpacking and re-packing the media.

We were limited by height so that he could install it as high as possible and gravity flow the water back to three underwater returns and one waterfall return, so I decided on the double stack, single, single, double stack to get as much media in there as possible and break up the water four different times to aerated the bacteria in the media.

I didn't want to drill the mounting bolt holes because I don't want them to be in the wrong place on his wall. This gives him free rein to mount it wherever he likes. I think it turned out great and can't wait to see the pictures after it is installed.

Thanks Zac for all of the work and your awesome knowledge/info. He helped me to correct some of my plumbing mistakes. As for the design and feedback, I'm working with 3D models everyday, so it is easy for me to read your picture and imagine how it will work for my project. Also its great to work out the details prior to pouring the concrete! Thanks again, and I'll update soon with finish pond!
