      Any ideas?

Had a ton of these . From ki goi male and kujaku female. three and a half months old some have way more gin. Is this just a gin kinbo.? Took about three hundred to my brothers peacock bass. kept the realy gin and big ones . The dark color seems to be fading on some. any way going to be fun to see what happens. Name: IMG_2298.jpg

Awesome, its a ki matsuba. Gin matsuba is the foundation of Kujaku. I've seen silver looking ones being sold on Kodama koi farm, but I have not seen any yellow ones. Gin in Japanese means the color of silver or metallic. Ki in Japanese means the color of yellow. Matsuba in Japanese means pine cone or netting pattern.

This koi has metallic skin so it's a Kin Ki Matsuba with ginrin scales.
By the way, Kujaku was actually created by crossing a Shusui with a Kin Matsuba(metallic orange). Gin Matsuba will appear in Kujaku spawn as it's essentially a Kujaku without any hi/beni. Same concept as getting Benigoi & Shiro Muji from Kohaku spawns and Shiro Utsuri from Showas.

This one appears to have a matsuba(the black reticulation) that is too distinct already. I would keep the lighter ones and also one with a clean head. The head on this one is quite smudged and the nostrils very black.

Ginbo/Kinbo are very old-style Ogons, probably one of the first single-colored metallic koi that was produced. I've never seen any in person but there should be a shiny skinny "line" along their back(not ginrin scales)
