She was the agent/broker. Her father owns a Koi farm in Taiwan. I'm not sure what you would class as a 'grand prize', but those numbers are dubious to say the least. I'm quite sure she never supplied a Grand Champion in Holland.

Mark, I got the info on the you tube chat, with your extensive back ground, I believe what ever you have to say. I live under a shell and don't go out much.

I have been feeding them only 2 TBS of baby koi pellets one time a day and refilled duck weed when ever it ran out. Duck weed has been present in the tank ever since its been transported. They can consume live duck weed after about a month and a half. The amount of duck weed they have been consuming daily has increased to a point where I started feeding them baby koi pellets 3 times a day and I have stopped putting in duck weed daily to allow the duck weed tank to catch up. The weather is very cold, so this is the time of year in the tropics I feed the bigger koi every other day. I will use the cull as bait for my planned shore line spring fishing adventure. I am happy with the keepers I see and have met my objectives with this small spawn. I got one decent showa and a few decent kohaku. I took a random picture and will update when I decide to separate the keepers.Name: DSCN0886.jpg

I got a nice maruten showa, but after I kept staring at it, I noticed one of its vent fins were deformed. However, after close examination it looks like it got damaged and healed twisted. Its body and gill plates were straight, all other fins was perfect. I conclude its fin got stuck in the net when it was being transported, so I should use a fine net instead of the bigger hole one that I used. I always learn the hard way.

I think I will keep 2 shiro utsu and 2 showa and maybe 1 kohaku.

I like that kohaku at the bottom. Looks like it is going to have a big wide body.
