      Gin Rin goshiki

So i was looking for a black and red goshiki and couldn't find one worthy.. Most dont have the dark black i was looking for or the deep red color. I went to Kodama koi farm in NJ. The one they had was ok but didn't have the contrast i was looking for.. I ended up finding this Gin Rin Goshiki. I was told its show worthy. I think its a pretty koi but have no idea if its show worthy.. Of course i was told that this was MR kodamas favorite koi out of all his shops and it has a ton of potential.. That Sounded like a good way to justify the heafty price of this 9" koi..

Goshiki can be so tough to tell the outcome. Koi looks skinny so if you can bulk it up that will help alot. My gin rin looked Male for 2 years and then I ramped feeding. Now she looks better but short tail

I am not an expert but to me it looks like it will be amazing as it grows out.
Keep us posted. I would like to follow it's progress.

The best thing about this Koi is the GR but, as it grows, the Beni is going to be very messy. Look at how much Sumi is already in the Beni. It will not get better.

Thank you. I checked out your link to your pond. I think its spectacular. I would be broke trying just to fill it.. 19000 is huge.. What type of filter do you have.

I sure will. Koi can look very different from their younger years. Just check out this showa (utsuri pattern). Came to me yellow and black at 5". Now a deep orang/red at 13".Name: Screenshot_20170423-024830.jpg
