The difference between "Growth & Color" and "Super Food" Koi Foods by Drs. Foster & Smith is mainly the 38% versus 40% protein diet? What else am i missing?

As for big kois, would the Color be better than super food? Since the Color has a less fat %? (was told big kois need less fat %)

Yes you’re on the right track
Around 10% fat for tosai but no more
And 4-6% fat for mature koi
I still feed 10% to some of my 4-5 years old
In the end observation and mixing foods come to the whole packages
Currently I’m mixing 3-4 different brands and types

Definite differences between vendors. Foster Smith has the Blackwater color on sale for $79.99, but the Gold for $ 149 ? . Blackwater is $ 109 for the Gold and 141 for the color. Both include free shipping. 40 pound bags.

We should have an open Koi Food Sale sticky thread where members can post the latest sales, etc

LOL I sometimes look to see what Joe is doing if i ain't spoke to him in awhile...Well today his wife posted on facebook about them being married for god knows how long/anniversary... So i went to the site and looked around...saw the prices so I thought I'd let you all know...the "Gold N" is what I'd get.... I have no first hand info on why he is doing it but I bet it is because he is in a sales war with somebody.
