I am curious if anyone has noticed fish acting strange right around a major weather shift. We have had a stretch of super hot days. 95-100 for three days straight. Then this afternoon the temps plummeted 25 degrees in about an hour. From around 100 to 75 degrees. A bit of rain and lots of lightening came with it.
Right after this weather passed I noted two of my fish breach and another flash- 4 times in quick secession.
My water is 78 degrees.
KH at 130
Ammonia zero
Nitrites zero
Nitrates zero
Phosphate zero
Salt at .22- coming down from .3 two weeks ago.
Water change 25% per week.
The fish have been acting very good for the past few weeks during the warm up from winter.
I guess I could have an outbreak of some parasite that came on real sudden. But I hadn't seen a breach or flash over the last 4 days as I worked around the garden a lot. Then all sorts of odd behavior.
