I will have to look to see of its on the tag. Where I got it the lady said she didn't know anything about it and when she googled it all she found was tips on watering regular orchids.

To be clear, Cypella aquatilis is not an orchid, it is in the Iris family. I have never grown it and I am not sure how it is to be grown as a pond plant....but I would go more wet feet/ dry ankles than a submerged root system. A quick search shows it naturally is seasonally flooded, but others list water depth at 0" to 2".

I do grow the true native aquatic orchid, Habenaria repens, common name Water Spider Orchid. Even this one grows on the water, more than in the water. It grows on mats of floating vegetation...I took this picture yesterday of one of mine, in bloom, growing on a mat of large leaf sensitive plant ( Aeschynomene fluitans ). Native to the Gulf Coast of the US and the SE. Coast as far north as NC, it is a pretty, if not spectacular orchid. Fairly easy to grow and winter hardy to zone 8 or so.

There should be spares out there to share if anyone is interested in trying them.....I believe rules allow me to share or trade.
