Does anyone know who the manufacturer of the Scarecrow deterrent is?

This one? I want to contact the manufacturer but can't find them on the Internet. If anyone owns one or still has the box...

I think the manufacturer is missing the boat by limiting them to a garden hose attachment. (Although I see you can rig them in a series with hoses.)

I think a small water pressure tank would allow it to be placed anywhere on a property especially a larger one, and all that would be needed would be some kind of deactivation remote to shut them off for service or walking near them.

Granted a garden hose is all you need if you have a small koi pond but I have four larger ponds on three acres. These things are very effective if you can cover the area you need. I can tell you from experience the Great Blue Herons do not like them and even voice their annoyance vocally!

I have an aquaculture permit to take out up to four Great Blue Herons a year bur really don't want to do that. I do everything nonlethally to keep them out of the ponds but they are an intelligent bird that figures out a way.

The risk I took was calculated, but man am I bad at math!

Well this doesn't look good. From 2015 however.

As far as I can tell Ortho owns the rights to it now? An online chat didn't come up with much. I think I will have to do some experimenting and connect with my friends that are tech nerds and see if I can come up with something. For the right person this shouldn't be difficult on the remote on off aspect which is the hardest part.

If anyone here is interested I will be happy to share. Obviously I have no rights to anything associated with the scarecrow motion activated animal deterrent so won't be marketing anything.

Heron enjoy a refreshing shower while they eat. They quickly find the water scarecrow is no threat.

You need something that goes bang! Or a dog that doesn't like birds.

We use 1/2 inch rebar every 10 feet and 3 strands of cheap monofilament fishing line.

I put stakes up with mono line too. However the birds sometimes still manage to get through.

If the three lines are spaced correctly and also the gap to the water it deters most. Too close to the water they will fish through it and too far away they will land behind it. There will still be resourceful birds that find a way. We had one that fished from a dock. After our dog pulled a few feathers out he didn't return.

I've had several fish from the dock. I suspect I have one coming in at night now. I've found three trout now that were skewered but too big to swallow. I've caught them in the act at night.
