      profidrum setup

      Hello,

I'm installing a new combibio on my pond, and wanted some tips. How did people install and secure their controlboxes onto the front of their rdf? I just want to be extra careful before drilling any holes into this thing. I may also plop in a UV, but would prefer not to drill it in like with the amalgams. Anyone have luck with a drop in uv on the drum side? I believe I read that there are some rubber gaskets that can get brittle if exposed to too much uv, but i'm interested what people's experience and uv placement preferences have been.

      Thanks in advance!

Use the double sided tape used to put on automative trim. You can get it at an auto supply store. No holes. To remove it, saw it off with dental floss and clean up with goo be gone.

That's great advice, thanks. I'm going try as you suggested. I'm guessing the wiring would best go down out the panel as a drip loop, and along the out side and over the box before going into the rdf's dry chamber through the three pre-drilled electrical ins?

I suggest you contact Koi Acres as they are now the distributor and main seller of that product line. They should be able to give you the best advice.
