      No it wasn't , it was purchased in Japan a few months ago for the owner and delivered to the Gardena show .

      and just to add to this. you can still see the koi at the dealer's webpage FOR SALE section (however it is marked SOLD)

      Hmmm I must have misunderstood what I read on Facebook. It sounded like this fish (the GC Kohaku) was only recently brought to the US from Japan and was handled by Champion Koi.

      Nope, way too high, most dealers don't over charge like that.
      people like to vehemently defend their purchases and find it incredulous that anything could be better

      Maybe. That's why I'm asking. I saw that fish on the site a few weeks back already sold. Was just curious. My guess is less than that but still 5 figures.

      Sorry guys, I made an assumption that Ben had this GC here for alwile in his 2,000 gallon pond that Norm designed . Ben is almost done with his 12,000 pond so I guess this GC will have a new home.
