      cactus ID please

I was gifted this cactus. He wasn't sure of the name. All he was able to tell me is it doesnt need a dormant period and it can handle a lil more water than most cacti. Ive tried a plant ID app. It couldn't find it so I submitted it to their "botanist" and got false christmas cactus for an answer...from looking at google pics it doesn't look anything like false xmas cactus.

      Thanks,
      Dubya

It appears to be an opuntia brasiliensis, a variety of pear cactus (nopal). Nopal are edible and allegedly have health benefits.
