When setting up my quarantine tank, I seemed to have killed a lot of the beneficial bacteria on the media due to the temperature change from the pond to tank.
Does the effectiveness of Proform C & Hikari Prazipro get affected due to Ammonia & Nitrites being present in the water? I'm talking moderately high numbers; not fatal but stressful readings.
I did a 7 day treatment in the high 60's on 2 new fish but a few hours after releasing then into the pond, a bunch of my fish started flashing. I checked the water parameters and did detect 0.25 PPM of Nitrites so hopefully it's just that...since it's too late to just scoop out the new fish and retreat.
This fish is very lethargic, just hovering in the same spot. The only time it moves is when it flashes.
Yes, I regret not treating longer and in higher temperatures
