      Sekiguchi Showa and Tancho Showa

The last two koi that made it into my QT this year. Thoughts? Both are around 13 inches

I think you need a sharper pic for quality assessment. The first thing I noticed was that both koi have really great body lines. The patterns are stellar. The head on the showa is a bit small but its body beautifully long, imho. Also, the tancho looks a tad short, but still really beautiful.

The first thing I notice on both koi is the shiroji. They are pristine. Absolutely beautiful!
I'm looking forward to seeing how they develop over the years. I don't think the head on the showa is small, it's proportional to the long and slender body. I think it's a male, but that's not a knock on it. I believe the showa will be awesome in a couple years when the sumi intensify with that quality skin.

Keep us posted. Maybe we'll be able to see them in San Diego at an upcoming show.

      Good luck!
