This 9in Sekiguchi was the second fish I picked up this year. Don’t expect or want it to get large. Been looking for looking for one for a few years. Thoughts?

Winner Winner.....I'm sure we will see her at the San Diego Show..Great pick up Jim. All Three Colors are up, should contend for Baby Champ.
This year as well as last they have a Baby Champ A as well as B. But also the baby Champ is the best koi of that size at the show. I've seen Shiro's, Gin Rin Showa, As well as Kikukru's win when they only have one winner. This fish is just at nine inch plus or minus 1/4 in today so it might have to complete with fish 3in bigger which could be it's down fall. size seems to matter even in smaller fish sometimes.
Lovely fish!
It should always be best Gosanke, especially if it is a ZNA show. It is a requirement but it is not always adhered to. I saw the Goshiki win at a Caifornia show, but it was at Fresno which is not ZNA and the Shiro GC at San Diego is also because the club is not ZNA. I saw an Ochiba win Grand Champion at the Roseburg Koi Shwo in Oregon as well but that is also not ZNA.
The San Diego Show will be Awarding a Baby Champ "A"/Gosanke and a Baby Champ "B" Non Gosanke.. I believe Jim's Pearl Scale Sanke would compete in the "B" group.
We had a baby GC kikisui win at the CFKS a few years back.
