      Horn Canna Farm

I dont know if anyone is interested or not but this place has some pretty good Cannas. They deliver really fast and the tubers are pretty big. Better than most I have found. They are grown right here in Oklahoma and now is the time too order them. https://www.cannas.net/

      Gary,

Do you always dig them in the fall, or have you had some survive that were left in pots outdoors?

Last year was the first year I had any comeback that were in pots. They always froze out. I did not get any dug up this year either. I have some in the ground but they have not been growing as good as they should I am not sure why. Maybe too many trees. I saw some big stands of them at a couple of nearby towns this summer that were huge so they must come back for somepeople a little better than mine do.

Nancy I am in zone 7b and the green cannas and the red cannas in the ground, come back up every year for me. I also have two tropical cannas. One is a red with red bronze leaves and the other one is a Cleopatra. I grow those in pots and take them inside my garage before it frosts.

I planted about 20 in pots with the intention of putting them in my pond covered greenhouse for the winter, but I had surgery and never got them put away. I do not think it has been cold enough to hurt them yet, but this coming week might be.

Its probably not too late too dig them up if you can or go ahead and have someone move them for you.

I called the canna company this fall and they told me too let them die down first after a good frost as that helps store sugar in the tubers and then dig them if you are going too dig them up
