      I will stick with my statement that they do alright. Maybe a video too for the full enjoyment please
      Good idea. Video will be included.

      Ok, here are the current development pictures. From a newbie's perspective...

      Growth seems good. Sanke went from 9" -> 17" -> ~24"-25", and Kohaku from 7" -> 15" -> ~23"-24". Increased thickness.
      Quality... already established as pond grade, nothing special here. But for $100 & $65, I'm enjoying how they have developed. In some area, beni seem to be deteriorating? but also, some are in fact physical scrapes and are recovering.
      Pattern is in the Eye of The Beholder... which in their case, I appove. I'm really looking forward to next year to see if they improve? or decline, as part of my learning journey.

      Pictures are not that great, I think because they don't fit in the tub anymore(not a bad problem to have I guess?). But the video should speak more for them.

      They both look girls and move along nicely especially bulking their bodies
      I’m sure you can’t find these with that prices anymore.
      I can see your husbandry is pretty good too.

      You are correct, I've gone through many tosai in order to learn and set preferences. 75% of my koi are now family and fits my preference. The other 25% are learning samples and/or for displacing existing ones with higher quality ones(relatively speaking). As they get bigger, thinning out kois of these grade(again, relative to my level) will become more difficult.

      Oh, speaking of 'him'... if only I had an indoor/heated grow tank to continue his second half of his journey. From 7 3/4" -> 17 1/2", not bad so far.

      Mr. Daman, this was fun. You'll have to do it again.

      Just found this thread, and like the way you show the multiple years of development. That is the kind of "pond grade" that I'd like to have in my pond, especially at the prices for which you got them. Good growth. I really like the build of the sanke. Like the stout pectoral fins on the kohaku.
