Will the tanks be completely aboveground, or do you need to dig more than for the bottom drains and plumbing? Wondering how long you have before the ground freezes, assuming you're starting right away. This is so freakin' awesome, I am over the moon for you guys! Definite road trip (okay, air ) in the future!

I am building in an indoor facility so ground freezing is not an issue. I am building on top of an existing slab and not going into the ground for any of the tanks in this phase. When I do the addition to the building I will be building a couple of large tanks in the ground.

There is nothing good to be said about California and taxes...they are going to tax you into submission.

I got started today on the build. It rained all day yesterday so I didn't want to get wet moving all of the form materials inside. I moved them in today. I used to have a retail store in Martinez CA and I saved the signage I had made. These will find a spot on the walls in the new greenhouse. They are 3' x 5' and made of wood.

As soon as I got started and cut the first pieces of 2 x 4 for the studs in the form walls I realized I needed some parts for my compressor.

I went to the local home improvement store, it was not Home Depot, and got lost looking at things that people in California get over charged for. Excellent price for a 4" long sweep 90. I am not missing CA.

When I got back I was again distracted from what I should have been doing. The building I am putting my Koi in does not have any water. The plan was to have another well put in but we found out that the property originally had the house located in a different area. We were told that the well for the original house was there and I found it. It is capped off but we should be able to start it up again and save some money. I have a well company scheduled for December 5th.

This is the space I am going to be working on. I am going to need to change out the lighting and will look into having some clear roofing panels put on the back side of the building. Once the front is opened up there will be plenty of natural light.

The good news is that the building has a dedicated 100amp electrical service that is fully available.
