Here is the whole process of what I do. All I have to do now is put a 2x4, just before my cut on the form, then trim off the excess and install it again.

For intent. The red would be an 8" splice on the backside of the form. The purple would be screws that hold splice in place. The blue, 2x for support. Fasten block at joint to join the top/bottom 2x to make continuous for plate?

Remove 2x, one side of screws and pivot inwards to remove?

Just thinking, and trying to clarify original post.

      Adam,
The form ties will not allow the forms to slide sideways. The form has to be removed in a direction 90 degrees to the form ties.

      Ah yes, clips

Slide, wrong action. Pivot top to bottom to pull away.

If you were to make the ends 7" shorter so they fit inside?

Or it is the concrete/adjacent form itself that prevents removal and requires the cut-off to become smaller because of the form rubbing it's edge along the wall/form?

Having not done, guessing at this point.

I am not sure what to say. I thought I explained it pretty well in the above post. I always try to use the longest forms possible when I do this so I prefer not to use two forms when I can use one. The consequence this time, since I want to reuse the forms two more times, is that I have to cut and repair some of them. It isn’t that much work and, on the next two pours, there will be two to three forms on each side. This will make it so I can remove all the forms without issue.

Yes, it is nice, but it was 51 degrees yesterday and 57 degrees all day today. The snow is gone.

Russ is the mailman of pond building. Neither rain, nor sleet, nor snow ... All of which happened today!

Two days ago the well was hooked up and we now have running water in the greenhouse and we have excellent flow. If you look back across the tank that was just poured you will see the controls from the well pump. The blue object is the pressure tank for the system. It will flow 1,500 gph and is set at 60psi.
