      Lightbulb Yamamatsu Kohaku

What do you think of this Kokahu. I loved the pattern and beni. Tell me what you all think? Much appreciated.

Nice skin, body and color depth. I suspect this is a Nisai from Toshiyuki Sakai and the beni appears more finished than developing. Still, a very stoic 3 step pattern typical of good quality Kohaku from him.

Mike, was wondering what is it that tells you that it is more finished? She was born in 2016.

Sorry to be tardy here. Well, I'm loving the skin on this one. the only concern is that the kiwa on the second step appears to have nearly finished marizome kiwa. Notice how clean the edges are and that it is already showing the scalloped edges fully filling the scales at the bottom of the hi plate and the back. I can't remember though, for sure, whether Toshiyuki's fish are like SFF in that very little sashi shows. If that's the case, then that parts okay, but if not, that's another indicator of early finishing which is most likely why the breeder let it go so early.
