Has anybody shown details on converting a plastic pool/spa skimmer to 3 inch (or 4 inch) gravity flow?

Here's a few:

I watched birdman convert his and he just drills the bottom out with a hole saw and drill press. I don't have one of those so
I did mine like the third example with a 6" to 4" fernco.
Here's a different take on the conversion. Mine is a Sacramento Koi skimmer, and was already installed and encased in concrete. The bottom did not lend itself to an easy conversion, so my only option was to go through the side with a 3" uniseal.

Recommendation for Skimmer

This is still one of my favorite skimmers. Designed to fit in the space of one block. And using elec. conduit adapters very easy to convert to 3 or 4 inch out.
I used the skimmer Birdman shows in previous post. But I found a Fernco that fit over the entire body of the bottom of skimmer. It was a strange size Fernco, maybe a 4 by 5? Think I had to special order it.
I am planning on doing it like this:And using elec. conduit adapters very easy to convert to 3 or 4 inch out.
