oh boy here we go... I have not used pp in quite some time, but my one pond is very green and has some docs going on. I feel small doses of pp is just fine when needed. I always increase aeration while doing it and have had nothing but good results..i might go pp the 1500 gallon intex today.

It is a good product for burning off high DOC's, used at low doses. It is my preferred treatment for most of the parasites, as I can measure the concentration during the treatment and know when it is dropping in effectiveness, which cannot be done with any other product, but if used for parasites, it needs to be measured using ORP, or PP strips, or chlorine concentration tests with conversion to PPM of PP. Using it blindly, or in a pond of unknown size can lead to a pond full of dead fish.

For what purpose? Do you factually know the true amount of water you're dealing with. No estimates as they are not valuable when dealing with this caustic product.

If Billy still has these in stock they work very well for low dose measurments.

that is where I got my strips.. brings a whole nother safety to using pp. i haved used pp at high concentrations but also supply lots of aeration. while pp can burnt gills, I feel biggest problem is when it kills off algae and starves oxygen levels. much like algaefix. increase aeration in this cases. just my .02

What reason you want to use the PP? I used it all the times to clean my pond, but you have to be sure knowing what to do, the PP can burn the gill easily and irreversible. I don't use it to kill parasite unless I sitting there 8 hours to watch the "color of the water". If you want to do it to clean the pond. Buy some Hydroperoxide from walmart 89 cents, neutralize the PP if the fishes "gasping, going up to the surface". turn on air pump, Mix the pp in a bucket and pour out SLOWLY, evenly around the pool, not in 1 area, that would kill your fish too.
