Getting some great items for the show auction. I'll try not to buy them before they are listed.
Would you like to donate an item?

We have some items coming in, thank you.
If you'd like to donate, let us know.
Some guidelines might be good to know for some that might have not contributed before too...
In years past we've had all sorts of things donated; koi items, hats, shirts, books on koi, landscaping, ponds, etc.,
almost anything a ponder might like!
Used items should be pretty clean and in good working order. Be as honest as you can about any defects or things
you know about the item. Nobody likes to receive something they weren't prepared for. Bidders note that no
warranty or guarantee are given.
Shipping is the responsibility of the person donating the item. When donating the item you're also promising to pack
and ship the item to the winner anywhere in the continental United States. If you're outside the U.S. or in Alaska, Hawaii
or Puerto Rico and want to bid on an item you should check and see if the donor is willing to ship BEFORE bidding.
Here's some examples of items donated in the past:

Any photos you can post of the item are terrific too!
From all of us on the VKS Committee, thank you!
Digging through the garage I found these Blue Eco bio discs that I've seen a couple people looking for.
There's about 1/2 cu. ft. so not enough to work alone really but if you're considering buying more it would
be nice to see what they look and act like in action!
Never used...
I have all 18 issues of the DVD magazine "Koi Fixx" by Brady Brandwood. Unfortunately, Brady went on to other endeavors, and stopped publishing this series. Many great pond visits, Down on the Farm stories, shows, etc., and no reading required.

I have a bunch of stuff, will get pics.
I have a koi flag. This is one that is designed and made specifically for koi shows by Ruth Rice. She makes one for specific shows, gives it to the host club, and they auction it off, most often going for well over $100. You may never get a chance for another one of these.

I also have a complete set of all 18 issues of Koi Fixx DVD magazine. It was published by Brady Brandwood, who was the owner and breeder at Lotus Land Koi farm outside of Charlotte NC. He included coverage of shows, "Down on the Farm", visits to ponds and pond pulls, and other good information all in DVD video format. No reading required. The first issue was the May/June 2005 issue, and there were 6 issues per year, except the last year that lasted for about 3 years for that last issue.

I need go go thru my stuff. Have a really neat metal koi candle holder and I'll make a koi ornament. I'm sure I have a towel or two or can make some
I have 2 16 gallon totes full of Ultima 2 media. i will bleach and will be like new. can give away about 16 gallons worth.
here
I'm not sure how much 32 gallons equates to in cu. ft. but I donated mine in two boxes of 14x14x14.
Weigh it and find out how much it'll cost to ship it to say zip 33111 (Miami, FL... a long way from the
west coast) to find out how much postage could possibly be. It'll give you a better idea of what you're
committing to.
Steve, the 24X24X24 is 8 cubic foot. A cubic foot contains 7.5 gallons, so the 14X14X14 if you can find it would probably be about right for 8 gallons or 1/4 of the total. And yes, check to see what the postage would be, it can add up, particularly for odd shaped items, and the donor is responsible for the shipping.
