      About Upper Midwest Koi Club:*
The Upper Midwest Koi Club is dedicated to the keeping, appreciating, learning, showing and experiencing the joy of Nishikigoi (Koi Fish). The club will also be involved in other pond related activities such as water gardening, construction, filtration and ornamental ponds whose focus is the health and beauty of Koi. One of the primary reasons to establish a club in this area is to provide some link or organization for people interested in Koi and ornamental Koi ponds. The focus of the Upper Midwest Koi Club is to provide that link in a fun and educational way.

My wife and I will be traveling up from Omaha, Nebraska for this show. It will be our first koi show ever. Looking forward to seeing the koi and chatting with koi keepers.

Can't wait for the show this upcoming weekend. We'll be there early on Saturday morning. Some day, we'd like to come back up there and take the pond tour as a visitor, if possible. Looks like a great club with some awesome koi ponds in the area, which we lack desperately in the Omaha area.

Leaving in a few hours to head up to Minnesota. Was planning on stopping by the Japanese Koi Pond at Normandale Community College tomorrow morning before the show starts...is it worth checking out? Might hit a few tropical fish stores while we're up there, too...any recommendations? Thanks!

My wife and I had a great trip up to Minnesota. Went to the Japanese water garden at Normandale College...such an amazing place. Bought a couple of things at the UMKC show...would have bought some of the amazing koi, if we had a pond for them...lol. Ended up joining the club, even though we live 6 hours away. Hopefully we'll be able to make it to a few events throughout the year. And, hopefully next spring I'll be breaking ground (finally) on the koi pond I've always wanted.
