      Extra Tall No-Niche Skimmer

These skimmers are the same as our Large No-Niche Skimmers but they are double tall...

Any idea as to how one would install a skimmer ( no niche) in a pond? does it have a 3" outlet at the bottom where a 3" pvc can be fit into? How much water flow is required for optimal functionality?

      Thanks

Yeah is it more fish safe this way. More complex in the manufacturing process but it looks better and is safer for the fish so it is worth it. Some customers have serious string algae and leaf clutter, and need the extra large baskets.

In this case they are going on a direct suction line, so a 2" outlet is being used for these. However, I can install any sized pipe outlet (up to 8" PVC) on the skimmer to suit the needs of the customer. The skimmer works best from 1000 - 3500 GPH. If the flow is too low, then it lacks skimming power, and if the flow is too great then once the basket starts to get filled it gets difficult to flow the water through the standard basket. The extra tall basket would not have this issue though, well not for a while at least.

Hi, I'm in the process of digging a new pond right now, 2200 sq. foot, and would be interested in this or some other large basket in pond skimmer, where can I get one? Thanks, Dave

I"m wondering if anyone has bought one of these skimmers, I sure would like to get the dimensions of this unit if it is still available. I've tried every way I can think of, phone email Facebook and even a private message here on this site but am having a hard time talking to anyone about buying this product. Are they still in business? They did acknowledge my first email and then nothing. Maybe they're just busy. Hopefully we'll get done with our pond dig today or tomorrow at the latest then on to the plumbing. Have a great day everyone

Look like nice well built units. Post build details if you get one.

Sorry for the delay in response. I hope I answered your questions in the e-mail well enough. For everyone else, the No-Niche Skimmers are 11 3/4" in diameter and the body is roughly 17" tall. The outlet pipe can be welded vertically on the bottom of the skimmer or horizontally at the bottom of the skimmer. Pipe outlet size can be anything the customer wants from 2" - 4" pvc pipe.
