If you had to choose 1 koi from this recent DAINICHI AUCTION which one?

I have the opportunity right now to purchase one of these beauties recently purchased from Dainichi Auction in Japan. They are still in quarantine but the bidding has already started here in Bangkok.

Ive selected these 5 from a larger selection and I want to know what the experts think in terms of the best potential from these 5 koi are. Are they show quality?

Every one of those could be show quality depending on the caliber of the show. These are all heavy hitters. For me, its 29 followed by 152. I like 175 as well but it seems to have an adult body shape as a tosai which would scare me away.

I'm not an expert at all. Really like 241 myself.

The body of 241 is to die for. My second choice is 29. I'm not feeling it with the others. But then again, I buy what I like, not what I think someone will like. Good luck!

Not sure if this question is appropriate but may I know what the price of these koi would be if purchased in the USA. I'm trying to see if buying from auction is saving me money for the hassle of importing koi myself to Thailand

Buying any Koi from a Dainichi auction will never save you money.
people like to vehemently defend their purchases and find it incredulous that anything could be better

That's for sure. But, include the Momotaro, Sakai Fish Farm and the Omosako auctions as well. Many fish in these auctions will end up costing the new owner 2-5 times what they'd pay if they visited the farm and purchased directly through an agent from the breeder.
