      Nymphaea 'Sunray'

I am wondering if any of you are familiar with, have grown, and/or have pictures of this cultivar. According to the vendor,

"A beautiful new yellow waterlily from esteemed hybridizer Randy McDonald. This plant is vivparous... "

I am only aware of two viviparous tropical waterlilies, one of which is probably lost to cultivation (N. 'Sunbeam') and the other is a small and for me a weak grower (N. 'Carla's Sonshine').

Thanks in advance for anything you can share.

      John

Are you asking if there are ay other "yellow" blooming viviparous tropical water lilies? There are many other viviparous tropical water lilies that have other colors of blooms.

I should have specified that I was talking about yellow tropical waterlilies that are viviparous, but thought it was implied. Sorry for any confusion. I was hoping someone had experience with this particular lily and could share details, because with Sunbeam lost, it would be great if there were a robust yellow viviparous tropical lily again.

      Thank you.

      John,

Sunray is growing with so much babies like weeds. Similar to Miami Rose. Flower is ok looking, nothing special. Bought from Megapond..

Carla Sonshine flower is nicer than Sunray. However, CS not easy to grow. Killed them 2 times once go dormant.

Thanks for the information. Hopefully someone will post pictures of the plant habit, viviparity, and bloom when the cultivar more commonplace in the market.
