      Ultimate & Hydrogen Peroxide

I am starting the spring clean up of my 2,000 gallon pond. I have been doing a 10% water change as part of my back wash on my S & G filter and I use Ultimate to treat the make-up water that I add back. I also want to use hydrogen peroxide to treat the string algae. When can I add the HP without the Ultimate neutralizing it ?

      Thanks

In days of old, I was taught that you needed to wait 3 days after the addition of HP before doing a PP treatment, in essence allowing the HP to burn off. With plenty of organics available for it to use in the burn off, I don't think you would need to worry about the HP after the 3 days. Dechlorinators were spent, as far as PP was concerned at 1 day, but if there is a large dose due to ammonia levels in the pond, then maybe wait. I would think you could treat with Hp within 2 days of using the Ultimate, and use the Ultimate within 3 days of using the HP with little or no interference by either.
