An there looking Awesome
Nice looking parents! Where do you source your fish from in Perth? I'm heading to Perth on a buying mission in a couple of weeks and will be catching up with Allan Bennett but I'm not sure if I will be able to convince him to sell me anything though
Hi Arid,
These are a friend of mines fish who has lost interest in koi so he lets me use his cause he has a great collection, He has many koi that he's trying to sell but they are quality so price isn't cheap as you can tell from the parents above
I know Allan an he has some fantastic koi an plenty off them i particularly like his Gin Rin Showa an Budo Goromo he has, an everything is for sale at the right price. Are you coming for the Noran Koi harvest at the same time i suggest
you go there also, March 1st & 2nd. Im on FB if you want too PM me then we can see what koi your chasing an if we can accommodate. ( I also have a Goshiki on Gumtree for my email address, You may be interested its the one in the previous thread ).
Matt,
The Kuro Goshiki is the female an kohaku's to go over her is the suggestion my friend said as he did the same spawn last year an they were awesome, So hoping to replicate this again
The Kohaku are line bred so we know what are kohaku an what are Goshiki early on judging the Hi plate as they are very different.

They are lookin' good Steve. I recall my little goshiki looked like kohaku for several months and then morphed into that goshiki look. Since you have some kohaku adults. I guess it is just wait and see, unless you've figured out some way to tell what they will be.
I have a theory but not sure yet, The Kohaku are generally a light colour orange for the First year at least an have noticed there are a few that already have a deeper Hi Plate so my guess would be they are the Goshiki's but i will need to watch them an see if I'm correct.
