Question Please advise with new koi

Hey guys, I'm looking to add a few koi to my pond. Not top quality since I'm on a small bubget, but I'm aiming for a few acceptabke koi for my 12000g pond to go slong with the 5 I have now. What do you think of these (colour development, growth potential, male v female)?

Chagio, left side on shoulder looks like may have a bad spot. But I think it has the best body, overall looks will hold up better than the other two. Should also be a very social koi, hand feeder. Showa is a mess, and the utsuri looks like it will be messy too. But others will definitely know more

      Love it!
Come back with a picture, when size is 18 like the other two.

Actually, the Hi Utsuri is the worst of all these in body conformation, which should be the first thing you look for. I agree with allkoi-dup on his assessments.

Although I agree that the body is not very good on the hi utsuri, I do think it is a pretty koi. It has better sumi than a lot of hi utsuri. It is very hard to find one with clean sumi, no speckling, and this one looks to have very little. More will probably develope with age as they usually do get messier with age but it's not off to a terrible start. Maybe you will get lucky and it will stay fairly clean.

Im not much used to criticizing fish. But I love the hi utsuris colour placement, specifically the head.

Thanks for the advise guys! I ended up purchasing the Chagoi and the Hi Utsuri. They'll be moving in within 3 or 4 months. I'll try to keep you updated with pictures of their development...

There was a mix-up with the Hi Utsuri that was picked up by someone else. I ended up with this fellow instead

The Soragoi is coming along nicely, but a male. the Hi Utsuri, either the original or this one, are not Marusei's top grade and will speckle up in a year or two. Looks female. the first was a male. Glad you didn't take the Showa!lol

Sure, here's another one from the bowl... I'm not sure if it isn't technically a Hi Showa...
