Since I don't like fooling with koi fry, I get in and vacuum the eggs for disposal. Keeps the koi from eating so many, keeps the number of fry surviving very low, and keeps the ammonia and nitrite in check.

Keep your words sweet. You never know when you may have to eat them.
Richard
It is cleaned now !
I planned not to breed them until summer.
Food for thought (no pun intended), but you might consider selling the eggs. Might be a market for some hard to find Jikins and for those that can't spend the bucks for them. I know there are some on this forum that have done that.
It is very interesting on the subject of delivering goldfish eggs. I like to know just to satisfy my mind but probably not doing it. Not that i would not share my stock with people but more on eggs are too fragile to transport.
I like to hear from people who had experience on this though.
Well, I have two separate pairs which i personally pick to learn into develope the traditional pattern of Rokurin.
Hopefully i will get a few Rokurin Jikins each spawn, however the closer to Rokurin pattern the better because Rokurin pattern is rare.
Have anybody feed earthworms to your goldfishes on long term?
How do you prepare worms to feed? Chopped and running water to clean inside of the worms at all ?
I've never fed earthworm, just bloodworm and tubifex. Interested to see what others say.
You've got some lovely fish!
Not hard to breed, just incredibly high cull rate especially if you're going for all the red points. It's so hard to get an all white body with red fins that the japanese actually figured out how to transplant scales to remove the red ones to be replaced by a white one. If you just pull the red scale it will grow back clear.

Hi David
Thank you for the link (very interesting).
I am planning on selective breeding and hopefully after hard culling would end up with a few somewhere closer to Rokurin pattern.
I don't have to have the perfect Rokurin Jikin at all.
This is crazy ! The same female jikin dropped a lot of eggs again.
That is a week timeframe, is it normal ? Would this taking a lot of toll on health of the fish?
I think due to water change and live feed stimulate them into thinking it's is springtime.
Please give me feedback. Thanks
Raise the fry!
David! I am not being clear on your meaning.
I think you meant to concentrate on stimulating the growth of fry, right?
