The male is the larger red headed fish and when imported was like a London shubunkin. The tail keeps growing and is now a Bristol type tail. The female is from my Bristol (Parker strain) line.
After crossing her to a male from her line, I grabbed the Japanese male to get a cross. They are just starting to swim.
Here's some additional details from the video post:
A new hybrid line. He's such a wonderful fish (large redhead) and since the female had a few more eggs after doing an incross of the Parker Bristol strain I figured I'd grab a cross with him. He was imported from Japan in 2012. At the time he had a short standard tail but has since developed in to a very nice Bristol type tail.
The start of a new strain. The male is the larger fish which can was imported from Japan in 2012. He was a one of a kind in the shipment so I've been crossing with various females over the years. I got a good squeeze of the Bristol (Parker) and she was still full of eggs so I grabbed the Japanese bachelor.
He arrived with a standard short tail but it has bloomed into a lovely Bristol type tail. Here he is in 2012 and the one of a kind Japanese water color original from Kyoto 1908.
They have hatched and are waiting to swim.
