      Hardy lotus varieties

Anyone know of or have lotus varieties that would be hardy in zone 5b? I would like to try seeds if I could find some. Water temps are slow to warm up and only for a few months at that, at the 7200' elevation where I live in northern AZ.

Most lotuses are hardy that you see here on KP, and will survive in 5b, as long as you do not let the tubers freeze. Move them to deeper water below the freeze line, or bring them inside and store them in a place where they stay above freezing. The plants will go dormant in the winter, and will start growing the next spring.
