Some updated photos, and my new irrigation system. It runs at 10psi and really works nice. This is the site I got the drip equipment from, it would be easy to set up for flowerbeds. http://www.berryhilldrip.com/15-Mil-...-gardens..html

I put in a separate valve for every bed, so I can just water what I want to ate that time.

I hope so, but I don't know, the heat is really bad. And I have never been very good at growing melons.

Did you plant them early those vines are pretty small for this time of year. They should be full of melons by now. What variety my Mom always like Crimson Sweet. There was a variety that a farmer friend gave her the seed for that was a cross of Crimson Sweet and something else and the melon was more round and sweeter. He also gave her some cantaloup that three of them would not fit in a five gallon bucket she said they were very good. I dont like either. I tried the heirloom Moon and stars once and they were not good melons at all. Mom hated them

The high tunnel has been a game changer! It is amazing how well everything grows in there.

We got them in really late, the ground wasn't ready. I hope they make it.
I planted Moon and Stars watermelons several years ago, and I didn't like them at all! Crimson sweat is a great melon.

I didn't plant any beats this year, but we are thinking of putting some in for a fall crop. It has been years since we have grown beats.

I picked 12lb of tomatoes yesterday, and some peppers. And they are just starting to ripen, so there are a lot to come! But I am having a problem with tomato fruit worms, this is the first time I have ever had them. They are the same worm as corn earworms, the name just changes with what they are eating, and we have had problems with them in the corn before. They have eaten dozens of tomatoes. I ordered some organic BT spray that should take care of them, and it will be here today.

Your tomatoes look great. Sorry you are having problems with the tomato fruit worms.

I have one Roma tomato plant and I have more than I can use so far. I used them in my spaghetti sauce last night and in my salad.

One roma can produce a LOT of tomatoes, so I can see where that would be enough for you.

I has been super busy with all of this garden work to do. I had a big problem with tomato fruit worms eating holes in my tomatoes, I lost around 40lb to those little buggers. It is the first time I have ever had them before, so they caught me off guard. But their dead now!
And as soon as the worms were gone, the mouse and field rats found at about the tomatoes. They have destroyed near 60lb of tomatoes, and right now they are in the process of dying!
Otherwise it is going great! I just picked 43lb of tomatoes, and will have another 60+lb ripe in a few days. The chili peppers are over 5 foot tall, and all the pepper plants are loaded.
I got a bug zapper today, I am hoping that will kill off some of these moths that are laying the eggs that lead to those nasty worms.
That ugly mowed area is the potatoes. They will be dug in a few weeks, once they have hardened. And the pumpkins are going nuts!

Good to hear you are getting another high tunnel! Everything looks great! I picked 13 tomatoes off my one plant today. It has more that will be ready every day for a while.

Great garden! Sorry about the critters eating and destoying your veggies. You need to get a hungry cat. Not kidding! I watch your threads with interest ... I am a former gardener although certainly not to the degree that you are. I am physically incapable fo growing anything now so I live vicariously through you!
