      The pattern looks a lot more interesting now with face sumi completed. The issue with weak tail is common for fish costing $$$ to low $$$$. Ogata is cheaper which probably means you got good bang for your buck.

      I couldn't agree more than that. I paid $4xx last year as Nisai harvest from Ogata.
      My dealer said the sumi will strike diagonal eventually and now I can really tell his eyesight is mastered.

      The tail is never going to go from weak to strong. The frame is set early on. You can see evidence of a weak tail in earlier video. On a tosai, it is fairly obvious if you pay attention to how the fish uses its tail and where the tail bends. Avoid tadpoles.

      Weak tail tube is like the norm for fish under $2k. The percentage drops for more expensive fish but you still see people pay a lot for pretty fish with weak tails.
