I have spent years developing relationships with some of the best breeders in Japan. I have done this to gain more knowledge and have access to the best Koi available. With this there has always still been one roadblock and that is time. My first trips to Japan were 5 to 7 days long and have evolved into 12 - 15 day trips but, think about this, Masaru Hosokai has 100 mud ponds to pull Koi from and, even if he pulled three each day I would need 30 days to see all of the Koi coming out of those ponds. He is also only one breeder that I deal with. Time is what you need to be able to have a chance at many of the Koi that come out of these ponds. In the two days I have been here I have been working out details that will allow, if all goes well over the next year, for me to be in Japan 4 - 6 weeks during the fall harvest. With this time I will have access to more Koi but I will also have the ability to bring more access to all of you as I will post everything here. I am also working on having the ability to come back during the year when breeders are spawning and culling their Tosai so that I can bring, to you, more of what they go through as well as learn more about it for myself. With this, PSKoi will be the only dealer in the US that can provide you this type of coverage, information and Koi.
      Congrats on the expanded venture.

Today we started off by going out to Teradomari Koi Farm. Just going to visit is a 1/2 day trip but I had a GR Kohaku I left there for Azukari. I thought it would be nice to take the route that goes out to the ocean and drive up the coast a little bit. I was very surprised to see this.

I picked up a group of small Nisai as well. These are very nice smaller Nisai. Dennis got Young Champion at the Fresno Koi show with one he purchased.

Our next stop, after lunch, was Murata Koi farm. I have two customers fish that stayed Azukari but they won't be harvested until Monday. Instead we ran into this crew.

I did find a few really nice Kohaku as well. Both of these are Nisai female and about 57cm.

I sent pictures of this third one to a customer in SoCal and it is sold. This one has 3 hearts in it's pattern.
