      ID this plant?

I've seen this flower before, but just can't seem to think of the name of it. And you wouldn't believe the amount of purple flowers on the Internet!

I figured someone here would know faster than I could find it! Thanks,

      Nancy

I'm pretty sure it's a type of tall Campanula. Maybe Campanula rapunculoides

Do the bottoms open up? Do the hummingbirds like it?

I am going to guess Lobelia. If it has been seeding itself, I would think Barb J might be correct. Campanula seeds go all over. Although the ones in our garden are not as leafy at the bottom as the plant in your picture. That is what made me think Lobelia.

I don't know, it's in my sister's yard at her cabin up North! Just figured I'd give the plant experts a whack at it!
