      Hi desis,
the controller is a Programmable Logic Controller, PLC (Siemens LOGO). With this small unit, you can set many options, so that first off all starts the pump from the spray bar, 5sec. later the motor from the engine for belt transportation starts. You can make the unit level controlled or with a timer, and you also combine this two funktions. I have set a timer from 20min, if in this 20min the level controller make no cleaning, the timer will start the cleaning mode.
With a Programmable Logic Controller you can make many different settings, it is a nice product to play! But you should have some experience in easy programming software, or you have a friend who can make this for you!

      greetings
      Roland

      Roland,

What a fantastic thread, my RDF once again had an issue tonight and im getting sick of it.

Do you have some final drawing specs to re-create one, or, I see these are somewhat popular in mainland europe, know of a cost-effective one for sale? I looked at a few but the prices are 7000 euros or higher, are there more economical units available?

      Hi Bon,
you are right that this type of filtersystem is really expensive. This was the point, why i start to build myself.
I am sorry that i have no drawings, only my youtube description with parts, which show all the steps to build a filter like that. I can tell you that I am very pleased with the work of this filter. He is running now for 6 years, and the only thing i must do sometimes, is the cleaning of the sieve with high pressure water.
I donīt know why nobody builds an economical unit from this filter type, all commercial filters are an high invest.

      Regards
      Roland
