My 24 gallon aquapod. All indoor tanks have turned into saltwater tanks at this point. I'm down to two of the 6 tanks I had. I may setup one more saltwater tank. I'm thinking about seahorses. Anyone know anything about seahorses?

don't know anything about seahorses, but I just shut down my cichlid tank. The tank looks good!

Thanks! I've had to go extremely slow due to the sheer cost of saltwater, but it's been fun. Hoping to eventually do SPS coral in my 46 gallon saltwater.
Nice, looks like you have Aiptasia on the upper right rock. I'd nuke it before it gets out of control.
Seahorses have a short lifespan (up to 4 years maximum). Can be finicky eaters (many only take live foods). Here is a short read: http://www.advancedaquarist.com/2004/12/fish2
Thanks KurtG, those are actually very dull looking Galaxia due to lack of proper lighting. I hate Aiptasia!
AquaJoe, I've seen that article, did you write it?

I have 4 saltwater tanks and I sell corals. It does look like you could use an upgrade in your lighting. It's hard to tell from the picture but it looks like the frogspawn or hammer coral that you have is much paler than it should be. Maybe Santa could bring you an led light for your tank. If you decide to go with seahorses make sure you buy captive breed ones and ask if they will accept frozen food, otherwise you will need to grow or obtain a good source or pods from them to eat.
Thanks njponder. I definitely need to replace the PC bulbs at this point as they are way overdue. I had to move the corals closer to the light as they appeared to be doing worse than they were when I originally added them a while back. I'd like to figure out a way to do LED inside the existing hood, but I'm on a limited budget. I do plan on finally getting LEDs for my other tank after Christmas, and I will probably move these over to that tank once I do that. Hopefully they will do better in that tank.
I do plan on getting captive bred seahorses as I wouldn't be able to keep up with their eating with live food. I'm still doing alot of research on them as I have limited space to setup a seahorse tank and want to make sure to give them a proper home.
