LOL Rain.. this is a metallic Goromo the Japanese called it Sochikubai

I had a friend that found a shochikubai in a tank of kujaku from a US domestic breeder. The breeder told us that it was from a kujaku spawn and there were many kujaku in the tank. I haven't had an update in a while so I'll see if he still has it. I recall his having lighter beni, almost hariwake like.
Being a metallic koromo the importance is on the hikari. Look to the pecs, shoulder and forehead to ascertain the quality of the hikari. It would follow the other characteristics of koromo.
It's difficult to tell from the pic that this is metallic, but looking at the face and nose it is identifyable. Looks like a young koromo/goshiki without close inspection and could get overlooked. Very good find. Body looks fair enough. Shiroji looks fair enough. Clean face and head. My friend, I like this koi a lot. Enjoy!

Interested to see the Sochikubai you mentioned Appliance Guy.. Now there are many new variety being breed.. It is a headache to memorized all of them LOL and sometimes a variety may go with many names for example a Platinum Ogon is also a Purachina Ogon
