Quite a shock, to say the least! I knew Ray fairly well and he judged a couple of the shows I produced here in the Bay Area. I hope Martha is doing okay in this troubling time. Yes, it's a truly sad day in the koi world!

This is truly sad news, my condolences to Martha and family. Ray will be missed. I always enjoyed talking Koi with Ray.

Yes, it is a sad day in the Koi Hobby. Ray will be sadly missed throughout the Koi World. I talked to one of his friends earlier today. Ray and Martha were enjoying their retirement and on vacation in Montana fishing and rock hunting. Condolences to Martha and family.

Ray was a gentleman that enjoyed life, his hobbies and was always willing to share his passion and his knowledge with people wanting to know more about koi in every aspect. Truly a shock and totally out of the blue. I was glad to have the chance to sit next to him in SA after their club fish sale, when we all went out to dinner. I got to ride in his truck with him and had a chance to see what wide and intriguing interests he had. He was totally loving life and most of all his wife Martha.Anyone that he touched must be immensely saddened by his too early death.

Heartfelt prayers and hugs to his family and closest friends.

I've known Ray for quite a few years and have worked a number of shows where he was judging or giving seminars and have learned a lot from him. He will be missed, mine and Vicki's condolences to Martha and the family.

It was a pleasure to talk and learn from Ray at our first show this year. Ray was the kind of man that would sit and tell you a lifetime of information if he had the time to. He will most definitely be missed my many. Our prayers and condolences go out to Martha to Their family and friends that have been effected by this tragic loss to the Koi community. If anyone has any information about services please PM me or notify me. Our club would like to send some flowers to the services. Thank you in advance.

Still in a state of disbelief. Had a chance to meet Ray and his wife for the fist time this past June at our clubs Koi Show in Roseburg that he came to judge. He was truly a very nice and genuine guy. I'm sure he will be greatly missed. Condolences to his family.
