Twin monster Zakki Sieves and Shower Filter

After several months of work we have 2 - 10k gph Zakki Sieves and a shower filter cleaning our pond, just installed the shower filter today.

One of the Sieves is for 2 Savio skimmers and the other is connected to 2 bottom drains that we just installed, it feeds the new shower filter. We have been running both sieves for about a week and already are very happy with what they are taking out of the pond with such little effort ( by us ).

We built a filter shed to house the sieves and store all the supplies that we have found we need for the pond. Now that the sieves and shower filter are up and going we can finish up the outside of the shed.

It has been a long journey getting the pond in shape and we still have some work to do, but we feel like there might be a light at the end of the tunnel. Koiphen has been invaluable during this process with all the information and so many people willing to weigh in. We are looking forward to adding more Koi now that we can give them somewhere nice to live and grow.

We have posted a few pictures of our project and part of our pond. ( the middle picture of the pile of pipes and one sieve is during the process )

      Terry,
My hat is off to you!!!!!!!!!! That is a SUPER clean plumbing install and the gravel floor looks spotless. I am guessing you cut all the pipe outside the shed to avoid the shavings?

Very beautiful. One question though. Why do you have rocks in the bottom?

Well...we have been taking rocks out of the pond for about 2 years now. We have a pile of rocks outside the fence that is about 6' high and at least 20' in diameter. We are having trouble sneaking them into the neighbors back yard now We do have more to take out with time, but at least it is starting to be manageable.

Thank you, it has been a work in progress. We bought the house with this pond about 5 years ago. It hadn't been taken care of for several years and needed some TLC....I don't think we knew how much TLC but we feel we are starting to make progress and really start enjoying it now.
      Thanks again,

Thanks....I plan to do a few albums to show the whole pond before and after....after saying after, I'm not sure when that will be. There always seems to be more we want to do
