      My First ever Ryukin

Hi guys! I got this little pal last saturday, june 28. he/she is 2.7 inches in body length including the tail. what do you think about her/him? I was so happy to have him because his my first ryukin, but unfortunately earlier this morning when I was doing water change, he was sucked by the siphon cleaner and some scales were pulled off from the body and he had a slit on his pectoral fins too. he is still active like nothing happened but still I'm worried. So what should I do to make the recovery faster? would the scales and the fin grow back to normal? thank you in advance!

The scales and fin should grow back fine, biggest thing is clean water and lots of water change.

As to a show fish that one might do ok with some intensive grooming- lots of quality food with good clean water. Food would have a mix of things like hulled green pea, duckweed, tubifex or blood worms, and a bit of good pellet.

The weekend got so boring so I took some pictures of my two goldfishes. The ryukin recovered its scales and fin. The fin grew back three days later while the scales took 2 weeks and the color of the scales is not as red as its supposed to be. You can actually see the mark where SHE got sucked. I confirmed it too that shes a female. My other goldfish that is a fantail is a male. Now I am very happy for them being well. Yehey! hahaha lol. So heres what I took. (the fishes weren't hurt at all when I was taking pictures. No harm done.) What ya' think?
