I found it in my sieve and was curious as to what type of waterbug this is? I'm assuming it can't/won't harm my fish if there are others?

be careful, they will attack you... not a joke. apparently it is one of the most painful insect bites. in India they are referred to as Toe-Biters.

they can fly. They mostly fly at night toward lights.

Disgusting! You should see the saltwater ones they can up to 30 inches and 4lbs. They are called Bathynomus Giganteus.
