A good natural way is to use 1 gallon vinegar, 2 C epson salts and 1/4 c dawn. I would probably try to find some of the 15 or 20% vinegar, if not what you get at the groc. store would work.

Thank you all for the wonderful info I can probably handle doing/trying all the above and I do have an extra pond liner that will work well.

I know it isn't chemical free, but I use the same Tordon that I use after I cut tree sprouts I don't want to come back.....snip it off at the ground, then use a foam brush to dab some on the cut end. Always works for me.

What I am surprised at is that no one pointed out that it was Poison Ivy. Poison Oak grows on the west coast. Poison Ivy can grow tree form vining and have different leaves that is why people of the south and east call it poison Oak. I have read studies that OSU have done with cutting off of one plant had had it grow in all forms but it was still the same plant
I just sprayed 15 gallons of roundup brush and ivy killer and it worked great I have dogs and all kinds of wildlife and even sprayed virginia creeper going into my water falls/

Its so interesting that you said that! We just got back from Oregon and ran into people on the trails there kept calling poison ivy, poison oak too! I wonder if they were from the south. I guess it doesn't really matter to much though, it all is nasty stuff!

Looks like poison ivy to me. How are your fish?

Agreed poison ivy. Some people are immune. I think I am...I walked through a whole yard of the stuff in shorts & a t-shirt before I Googled it. Obviously after I found out I didn't try my luck again however once you know what it looks like, you'll never forget the stuff...
