      Dainichi Auction 4-22-14

The 6th Dainichi Koi Farm auction is next Monday. Masaru Hosokai asked me if I would like to go and I am considering it. If you are interested in putting in a bid let me know.

This may be a dumb question...what would be a good bid for a fish that doesn't have much interest?

Look at the second last folder labeled SPECIAL. The SPECIAL fish are starless.

Look at the last special fish, it has a Star. It's a special Koi with a star. One could surmise that is the best of all the Koi.

My take on SPECIAL in Japanese culture is how deep the bow is.

For $120 sushi dinner, I received a 90 degree bow on my way out.
For $15 lunch special, I received a nod.

SPECIAL01, SPECIAL02, and SPECIAL03 have no stars but that wasn't my main point.

I was hinting that the stars are subtle sneers if you get the Japanese culture.

The Special Showa with the Star is the best Koi of the group, this is why it has the star. Beni, Sumi, skin and body are all there.
