Ah, yeah, you'd be in deep doo doo if that was my tree too. It was a beautiful tree! Why did you need to cut it down? Btw, it's a lovely pond!

      Wife: That's my favorite tree
Husband: Yeah, cause you dont have to clean up the ton of crap it dumps into the pond every year (mumbled under breath of course)

Reminds me of the pear tree we had in the back yard growing up. Step-mom loved that tree. I pushed to cut it down every year cause I was the one delegated to picking up all the rotting pears in the back yard .... eww

Ah, haha, yeah, I can see you're point. Too bad it wasn't planted somewhere else where it wouldn't be a problem. We had to cut down a huge eucalyptus last year too and I hated to see it go, though I understood it had to go.

What size is your pond? It is a beautiful setting.
LOVE your Longfin!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Any chance of a picture of your longfin swimming in clear water? My first fish looks like yours in colouring but will never get to the size of your beauty. That is mine in my avatar. I do not have a pond anywhere your size. How old is your pond and that magnificent longfin? Thanks for posting.
