I like how you are stepping the waterfall, that's what I'm doing also. im doing a drop in liner. How are you putting the liner in when you put the blocks up for the wf shouldn't you put the liner first then the blocks for the wf.
Yes, that was just a mockup to see how it looked. Once I put the liner in I'll stack the waterfall blocks on top and fill them with concrete.

This is awesome. Just out of curiosity, does anyone know if it would have been more or less expensive to have it poured like a basement by the time one figures in all the labor and time transporting the blocks etc?
Very good question and one I happen to believe that it depends on the situation and how much time you have on your own hands (free labor) to "git 'er done". I prefer a gunite shot pond which is done all at one time, floor/walls for a monolithic pour. This is how swimming pools are built as well.
